Name: Toby Robinson
Hometown: Eden Prairie, MN
Where are you at in life now? Currently, I am a high school business teacher at Mound Westonka High School in the west suburbs of the Twin Cities. I will begin my third year of teaching in the fall of 2017.
What takes up your spare time? Much of my spare time is spent either on the golf course or chasing around my three nephews. I love both, but nothing compares to being “Uncle Toby” for three crazy boys.
Last good book you read: “Love Beyond Reason” – John Ortberg
Hidden talent? Singing?
Favorite Restaurant: Buffalo Wild Wings
What is your ideal vacation destination, and what would you do there? My ideal vacation destination would be a place with tons to explore and see. I love taking pictures and being in places where God’s creation takes your breath away. I would love to go hiking and site seeing in these places. An example of a place I am thinking of would be New Zealand or Norway.
Favorite Bible Story: Joseph and his colored coat.
A Bible verse that has been important to you this year: Philippians 3:13-14 – “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Favorite thing about Bluewater: My favorite thing about Bluewater is the atmosphere. Not many other places compare to how Bluewater “feels” to me. Something about the lake, the sights and sounds one experiences while being at camp, the beauty of the place. All of it makes me never want to leave.
What I’m most excited about for this summer: I am really excited to develop relationships with the staff and be able to meet as many kids as I can throughout the different age group camps each week. It’s going to be an amazing summer!
