We hope that during your week at camp you took another step in your journey with Jesus. Maybe it was the first step and maybe it was one of many but one thing is for sure – it should not be your last. God is near you in your home, at school, at work, with your friends and we want you to continue growing in your faith. Hopefully the resources on this page can help.
Stay connected! Staying connected with others is vital to staying connected with Jesus. Find a church community to get involved with. If you are not connected yet, this page has a list of Covenant churches in northern Minnesota. Hopefully you met other campers from your hometown. Connecting with them is a great way to continue your walk with Jesus.
Listen to God by reading the Bible. God’s Word is alive and wanting to speak to you. Spend time every day listening to God through his word. If you want a reading plan to stick to, check out YouVersion or YouVersion for Kids for reading plans, devotionals, and more. Here are some examples:
- The Gospels – Read the stories of Jesus’ life.
- Strengthen your Faith – Reading plan and questions to guide your next steps.
Parents, grandparents, and other adults — Ask these kids about camp! You will: show them they are cared for, give them an opportunity to process their week, and hear great stories. If you are looking for some questions to get started, try these:
1.) Tell me about your counselor and the people in your cabin.
2.) What was something new you learned about God or the Bible?
3.) What did you learn about who God is at camp?
4.) How did you notice God at camp? How do you think you’ll notice him at home?
5.) Did camp make you want to do anything different here at home?
6.) Do you have any questions about anything you learned at camp?
